I always wanted to write an autobiography to leave behind to my family. LiveHistory allowed me to do that without having to write the book. They did an outstanding job of guiding me through the past while ensuring it was my words and thoughts that came through, integrating the best photos from our family’s collection. I recommend not only the concept of sharing one’s legacy with his/her family, but also the quality and professional way LiveHistory is able to accomplish it. The results exceeded my expectations.”

On very short notice, we hired Len to take on a very difficult task — shoot a documentary on scrap computer dumping on location in Lagos, Nigeria and later to produce a streaming trailer of it for our website. The streets of Lagos are not an easy place from which to operate but Len was able to do this with a cool head and in a culturally sensitive way. He proved to be not only an excellent camera operator but an invaluable part of the directing team, finding ways always to best tell our story. The film has proven to be an invaluable tool in our campaign to prevent global toxic waste dumping and to raise awareness for computer consumers everywhere. I would recommend Len’s skills for anyone wishing to capture a video record of events, personalities or memories in even the most trying of circumstances!

I contacted LiveHistory because I was looking for a special Christmas gift. What I got instead was a keepsake that our entire family will treasure and pass down to each generation. Creating this biographical video with my mother-in-law offered me what life cannot—her voice, her image, and her stories will be captured forever.”

I was skeptical to hire a videographer for our wedding. I had seen other people’s videos and thought it was impersonal and not for me. I gave in and hired LiveHistory on the recommendation of a friend. I was amazed by how personal and creative the video Len created was. He interviewed both of our parents about the day we were born, and the other guests about how they had come into our lives. The greatest part was that the video was so well done that it didn’t in any way change my memories of how wonderful the day was. Instead it helped me to relive it plus so much more.” Cathy B.
Species Alliance is a new non-profit environmental organization, producing our first feature documentary film. Crafting a movie on a low budget using footage from various sources is always a challenge. We were lucky to find Len Davis, whose professionally produced and compelling footage from Asia provides some of the most intriguing imagery in our film. I don’t know what we would have done without him!

www.speciesalliance.orgI hired LiveHistory to film me giving birth to my first child and am so grateful that I did. Though I was hesitant because of the intimacy of childbirth and the fear of having a camera in the room, Leonard carried himself in such a respectful and unobtrusive way that I was barely aware of his presence. It is an incredible thought to me that my daughter will forever be able to see herself being born into this world.”
Laura C.LiveHistory shot, directed, and produced a multi-camera promotional DVD for my non-profit theatre company. He collaborated with us on conceptualizing the piece and was instrumental in all decisions. We were very happy with the finished product, and as an integral part of our media package it has been extremely useful to us for promotional purposes. Len was professional and efficient, easy to work with, and created what we feel is a great representation of who we are and what we do. We hired Len again to shoot footage for us during the following season. I would recommend his work to anyone looking for a similar experience!”
